Advice on HR issues

We advise employers daily on a wide range of employment law and HR issues. We act for employers of all sizes and across all sectors, from small charities to companies with several sites and thousands of employees. We aim to provide practical, robust, commercial advice when you need it – and that can be urgent!

Examples of the type of issues we advise on include:

  • disciplinary and grievance
  • Settlement Agreements (formerly known as Compromise Agreements)
  • self-employed consultants
  • restrictive covenants
  • employee benefits
  • family-friendly rights including maternity, paternity, adoption and parental leave
  • redundancies and organisational change
  • outsourcing and TUPE
  • poor performance
  • ill-health and disability
  • collective consultation
  • discrimination and equal opportunities
  • whistleblowing
  • Working Time Regulations
  • National Minimum Wage
  • Data Protection

We can assist by telephone, by email or in person as you feel appropriate. We are happy to draft any letters or documents you need, or alternatively we can review your drafts if you prefer. We can also assist with scripts, checklists and guidance notes to help you and your managers follow the right steps.

We have a range of options when it comes to fees. For ongoing support many of our clients choose our retainer, giving unlimited advice for a fixed monthly or annual fee. Other clients may prefer to pay on an hourly rate, and we also offer fixed fees for some projects, for example drafting contracts or handbooks. For more information about our charges, or for a no obligation estimate, please do give us a call on (01243) 836840.

For all our clients we offer complimentary employment law ebulletins, seminars and workshops to keep you up to date on all the latest employment law developments. To see our recent updates and to join our mailing list, please visit our News page.
