The usual annual increases in compensation payment limits in the Employment Tribunals have been published.
They are as follows:
- A week’s pay (used to calculate statutory redundancy payments and the basic award in unfair dismissal cases) will increase to £479 (currently £475).
- The maximum compensatory award that can be awarded in unfair dismissal cases will increase to £78,962 (currently £78,335).
These limits will apply to dismissals (or detriments, etc) occurring on or after 6 April 2016.
