Contracts, handbooks and policies
You need employment documentation that is up to date, written in plain English and above all, appropriate for your business. We can work with you to draft and review contracts of employment, service agreements, policies and employee handbooks to ensure that you have clear documentation which protects your organisation and reduces the risk of dispute.
If you are changing terms and conditions and/or employee benefits we can guide you through what can be a complex process.
Employment Tribunal cases
As well as advising on all aspects of employment law, we deal with cases in the Employment Tribunal from start to finish (conducting all our own advocacy), and we have an enviable track record of achieving success for our clients. Our experience means we can guide you through the process step by step and help you feel prepared, which is key to the best presentation of your case.
Training
Are you looking for training on employment law? We can help. For example, we have designed courses for our clients’ line managers to raise awareness of equal opportunities issues – having an equal opportunities policy and providing regular training on it is essential if you are defending a discrimination claim.
If you are dealing with a specific project, such as redundancies, then we can train and support you and your managers so that everyone is confident in the steps you need to take. We have been praised for the clear, accessible delivery of our training, and we always focus on a practical approach.
We also provide update sessions for our clients and contacts on particular areas of concern or interest to them. We find these sessions are an excellent way of getting to know more about our clients and their businesses, which then helps us advise them more effectively.
Advice to Employees
We also advise employees on all aspects of employment law. If you feel that you are being discriminated against, or that you are being treated unfairly, then why not give us a call to talk the situation through? We are experienced at advising on Compromise Agreements – we will explain the terms, but will also make sure that it is the right deal for you. If you prefer, many Compromise Agreements can be dealt with over the phone without the need for a meeting.
We also have expertise in dealing with family-friendly rights, including flexible working. Whether you are returning from maternity leave or wanting to adjust your work/life balance, taking our advice will give your flexible working request the best chance of success.
